Deep Cabaret is the brand of Lancaster experimentalist
Steve Lewis, whose work always seeks to surprise, inspire and
entertain. His most recent work has been with Deep Cabaret Vox,
a loose collective of improvising voices under his leadership who
performed the first ever improvatorio (imrovised oratoriio) at last
years Lancaster Jazz Festival.
Toniught Steve will sing alongside special guest, Liverpool Based
Steve Boyland and swinging kings of improvising strings Four Candles.
Led by Graham Clark and featuring Olivia Moore, Justin Lingard and
Semay Wu the Manchester-based quartet Theyve played with everyone
from Gong and Keith Tippet to Homelife and The Earlies.
It's the way with Deep Cabaret that you get special guests turn
up - last time it was new member Cleveland Watkiss. Whatever you're
pretty much guarenteed to get more than you bargained for.
