Ben Cottrell: Baritone saxophone
Josh Kopecek: Laptop

Expect everything and nothing from this trio of powerhouse saxophone, over-fx-ed guitar and live laptop re-mashing. Cottrell coaxes the sax into hitherto unknown territories, Hunter mashes and twiddles away at his electric guitar and Kopecek remixes the whole lot and feeds it back as a quivering mess. Be ready to be moved, awed and inspired by the unprecedented arrival of Manchester's best new improvising trio. Unlike anything else around.

Classical guitarist and composer Richard Harding is on the SPNM shortlist and has played guitar since his Iron Maiden-listening teens. Sax-and-flautist Phil Hargreaves has been floating around the obscure backwaters of UK improv for more years than anyone cares to remember. Together they create a sound with nods in a number of directions that veers between eerie fragility and a robust approach to the making and experiencing of sound.
