Lawrence Williams and Jane Dickson Duo
free improvisation from saxophone (acoustic+amplified) and electronics duo.
Lawrence plays alto and tenor saxophones, contact mic, analogue effects and melodica. He plays in a variety of different groups and also on his own. His own work focuses mostly on taking very small weak quiet sounds and amplifying them up loud. He also like feedback tones and distortions and any kind of multiphonic hum. He has recently started working with field recordings of both natural and man made sounds. As well as making music as performance in itself, Lawrence has worked extensively with experimental theatre and dance all over Europe, notably with the Hungarian director Arpad Schilling. Lawrence has a keen interest in cross disciplinary art forms and continues to explore the dialogue between different mediums.

Ed currently lives in Wales, which is a fantastic place, between the mountains and the sea, which falls from the sky on a regular basis. I play the violin and viola amoungst other intsruments such as the computer, digeridoo and mandolin (badly!), and you know what it's all good! Eventually my aim is to take over the world and enforce at least one hour of silliness a day in all public areas. I'm currently - staring at the sky to see if anything interesting is going to fall out.
