Launched on the 22nd September 2004, initially Splash Gigs were delivered as batches, 2/3 gigs close together, featuring 2 or 3 "bands" on each night hence the name. Experience has produced a change and we now deliver 1-4 splash gigs spread a year. Splash gigs now invite musicians to meet and play free improvised music in a series of planned and random groupings as arranged on the night.

Musicians register and interest to play and then are invited to play.

Hyperion

Abstracting the abstract, imagining the unimaginable

Hyperion journeys to imagined worlds of hidden promise, scouring the depths of perception, taking in the view and returning through the manipulation of pure instinct...

...what will we find along the way?

Noise Club / Hyperion is an audio-visual collective based in Liverpool.
The group works through improvisation to create performances which mix ideas from punk, rock, jazz, electronica and classical music into one unified soundscape...

...notes no longer matter - noise becomes music

Tim Downey - guitar, effects, master-control
Si Gross - computer generated undulations
Roz Hyde - obsessive scribbling, contact mics
Si Jones - double bass, contact mics, acoustic warping
Mike Loftus - devices, constructions & DIY gone wrong
