Launched on the 22nd September 2004, initially Splash Gigs were delivered as batches, 2/3 gigs close together, featuring 2 or 3 "bands" on each night hence the name. Experience has produced a change and we now deliver 1-4 splash gigs spread a year. Splash gigs now invite musicians to meet and play free improvised music in a series of planned and random groupings as arranged on the night.
Musicians register and interest to play and then are invited to play.

8.00pm : door / admission Splash Gig: A concert featuring 2 or more sessions by different groups or ensembles drawn from the Frakture network of musicians. Musicians who are playing free improvised music in the northwest region, nationally & internationally. They are also an opportunity for public performances for musicians who attend the workshops; to try out new ideas.. i:Splash is a change from the original splash gig format, the presentation of groups/ensembles, the i:Splash sessions present a selection of individual musicans who attend and combine in a random or planned way to present the evenings music.
